Jackie Smith
Art Director & Graphic Designer
When I was a kid, I wanted to be an artist. But back in the ’70s & ’80s, the only artists I knew were starving ones. So I decided to become a writer. Fast forward to the ’90s and the dawn of computers. Tada! Thanks to Adobe Photoshop and QuarkXpress, I finally found a way to make art and not starve. Night classes on an old Apple computer and regular training over the years have made my dream come true. And while I don’t write very much anymore, I still have quite a knack for proofreading.
