     Sunrise Grocery
Sunrise Grocery named one of the “South’s Most TCharming General Stores” by Southern Living.
Charm to Spare
he Choestoe Valley wouldn’t be the same without this quaint general store. First opened in the early
1920s, it’s been in the Clemmons family since 1983. Current owners Jason and Jesica Clemmons have added their own warm touches throughout the store. Jason, a photographer whose art is featured in Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport (and in this brochure), displays and sells his framed photos. Jesica makes uniquely scented handmade soaps that come with a note explaining the area’s history. In addition to the famous boiled peanuts and fresh produce, the store offers snacks and camping supplies, perfect if you’re headed to nearby Vogel State Park.
